PORT CHESTER PUBLIC SCHOOLS featured post School Reopening Task Force Summary The 2019-2020 school year ended in an unusual way due to the pandemic and a series of Executive Orders from the governor. When schools were closed for the remainder of the year, a Task Force was formed to determine best practices for when, and how, educational instruction would resume in the fall. PORT CHESTER PUBLIC SCHOOLS featured post Summer food distribution program Hello! We have important news for all families with children ages 18 years and under in the Port Chester School District. Beginning July 13, Carver Center will be distributing breakfast and lunch, in takeout containers, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the Thomas A. Edison School 132 Rectory Street in Port Chester. Caritas of Port Chester will be distributing weekend meals for the whole family to take home on FRIDAYS ONLY at the Edison School location. Hours for pick up will be limited to 10:00am to 2:00pm. In the interim, families can continue to pick up food at the Carver Center Market at 400 Westchester Avenue, during regular market hours on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays beginning at 1:00pm. The Market remains open until supplies last, typically around 3:30 pm and no later than 5:00 pm. You can also request Thursday home delivery of meals by signing up on the Caritas website.
